Our Community Programs developed as a response to a demand in the Upper Valley Area for language classes. Community Programs have been offered through the Rassias Center of Dartmouth College since the late 1980's.
For Spring 2013, we are offering classes in English as a Second Language, French, Italian and Spanish.
All students except rank beginners must have participated in a Rassias course at the preceding level or have a telephone placement interview before class begins. All classes are subject to cancellation
Note: Full payment is due with the application to hold a place on the class roster.
Textbooks are not included in the cost of the tuition, but may be available for purchase at Wheelock Books in Hanover, (603) 643-6567. Below, you will find a complete list of the textbooks used in each course. Please do not buy textbooks until we confirm the class.
Note: If you have an earlier edition, please call us to find out if it may be appropriate to use for the course.
*All classes are based on a minimum enrollment requirement of six (6) students or more. The Rassias Center reserves the right to cancel classes in which this requirement is not met. If the specific level/language that you have enrolled for is canceled, we will notify you by Tuesday, March 26 using the form of communication indicated on the "Preferred method of contact" section of the enrollment form. In this instance, the full amount of tuition will be refunded including the $50 enrollment fee.
Please contact us for more information.
Notice to Dartmouth College employees who are applying to Human Resources/Training and Development for Tuition Reimbursement: Please contact the Rassias Center directly, prior to enrolling, for information on course requirements.
If you have an interest in a language that we are not offering, please contact our office as this information is helpful to us when we decide what languages to offer.
